Manchester City Seek To Sign Bayern Munich Midfielder
Manchester City are planning to sign Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich in the summer amid rival interest from Manchester United and Liverpool
According to the Mirror, the English champions are ready to wait until next summer to sign the Bayern Munich midfielder, who is unlikely to sign a new contract with the German giants. Right now, the Bundesliga side are reportedly demanding a transfer fee in the region of £50 million for Kimmich, but by the time the summer arrives, the Germany international will have only a year left in his contract, which may force his club to reduce their valuation to £25m.
While the Cityzens remain confident of landing Kimmich next summer, they will face competition from fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool, both of whom have a long-standing interest in the player. La Liga giants Barcelona are also keen on signing the 28-year-old despite their financial constraints.
Despite United and Liverpool's interest in Kimmich, it is believed that the reigning European champions are the favourites to land the player as he had previously worked under Pep Guardiola at Bayern and shares a close bond with the manager.
