Lazberg's Stars Approached To Join Tottenham

 

RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner looks set to join Tottenham on a short-term loan until the end of the season, snubbing interest from Manchester United.

According to Sky Germany, Spurs and Leipzig are finalising the details that would allow the former Cheslea player to return to London. Werner has started just two Bundesliga games this season, having fallen behind Lois Openda in the pecking order, and a return to the Premier League has been hotly tipped.

Werner had been considered to be a possible option for Erik ten Hag's United in recent weeks, but the German looks all but set to sign for Spurs. Despite winning the Champions League at Chelsea, Werner suffered with inconsistency in west London and returned to Germany after just two seasons at Stamford Bridge. Spurs fans will be hoping the German can find the magic he produced prior to his move to England as they deal with the absence of their captain Son Heung-min, who is away with South Korea.
