A Video Implicating Alves And His Mother Weeks Before He Went On Trial

Brazilian defender Dani Alves got into a new trouble while he was in prison, due to the actions of his mother towards the alleged victim of the rape case.

Alves has been in prison since January 20, 2023 after he was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a young woman who was 23 years old at the time at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona.

On December 30, a full year after the attack, alfesh's mother Lucia decided to post a video on social media with photos of the alleged victim dancing with some of her friends and celebrating her birthday.

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" said that the victim decided to file a complaint to the court because of the publication of these photos that violate her personal life, especially since the court explicitly prohibited doing so, so the Brazilian player's mother may be accused of disclosing private secrets, which is a criminal offense punishable by law.

The video did not only appear at Alves ' mother, but was also reported by some Brazilian media, as the player's legal team had previously tried to rely on this clip to prove his innocence.

The newspaper described the publication of this video as the "miserable" movement of the Alves family one month before the start of the trial in Barcelona, and the photos taken with this clip date back to years ago, which means that the victim may have been a minor at that time.

What is clear is that the publication of these photos is contrary to what the court ordered, as it made it clear to the interested parties that no data that could identify the victim should be leaked.

It is worth noting that the trial of Alves will be held officially next February, and not only the victim's statements will be heard, but also her mother and some witnesses.
